Six Sigma Tools For Process Control

Six Sigma implementations aim at achieving near perfect production wherein the number of defects is substantially reduced. However, implementations are definitely not easy because they often require a major overhaul of existing business processes, which in turn requires extensive analysis and documentation.

Understanding The Six Sigma Pyramid

Six Sigma quality levels can be described with the help of a pyramid, wherein the base of the pyramid represents the current quality levels of a business. The aim is to move up the pyramid to make gradual improvements in the quality level such as sigma 1 to sigma 2, sigma 2 to sigma 3, and so on until the top quality level, “6″ Sigma, is achieved. Every stage or quality level requires the use specialized statistical tools, about which the certified implementation teams should have in-depth knowledge and expertise.

Some Basic Tools

Businesses aiming for achieving sigma 3 or sigma 4 quality levels need to utilize Six Sigma measurement, analysis, and documentation tools. These tools will help in measuring the current percentage of material wastage, which is usually in the range of 50 to 60 percent if the company’s existing quality level is sigma 1. At sigma 2 levels, the wastage is around 33 percent, which means that there is still plenty of scope for improvement. Once the level of wastage is identified with the help of these tools, the Six Sigma implementation team can then start making the necessary changes in processes to achieve the next quality level.

Industry Specific Tools

A use of a particular Six Sigma tool depends on the type of industry. For example, in industries having high volume transactions, it would be impossible to measure and analyze each transaction. As such, only those tools are used that are designed to identify high value transactions based on predetermined logical parameters. These tools will allow a business to give priority to the improvement of most vital processes that deal with high value transactions.

Such tools are necessary for ensuring the success of the implementation projects because higher quality levels cannot be achieved until and unless all the high value business processes are not utilized to their full potential. The full potential of a business process can only be realized when it reaches maximum optimization levels or achieves Six Sigma quality levels. All this can only be achieved by employing the right Six Sigma tools and techniques in the right business process.

For selecting the right tools, businesses need to opt for the expert advice of certified professionals. Although the tools are more or less the same used by engineers, supervisors, and other technicians, expert advice is still valued because it is only the Six Sigma professionals who know how to utilize the information generated through tools and techniques in a proper manner.

What Makes a Great Leader in Business?

When you’re asked about a leader in the context of a workplace, who springs to mind? Maybe your current or a former boss, a head of department, or maybe even the company Chief Executive Officer.

Leadership is a complex subject. We should all consider ourselves leaders, particularly those of us looking to progress our careers beyond the current nine to five days we love (or endure). Whatever our occupation, admin staff to managers, refuse collectors to chefs, we have a duty to behave in a professional manner and take pride in our work – after all, we chose our path. Part of our day to day role is almost certainly likely to be influencing others around us, whether we are aware of that fact or not.

Simply by passing by our colleagues, we will no doubt influence them. They will judge us, and form opinions of our ability, our social interaction with them, and whether or not they enjoy our company on both a professional and personal level. This influence is a very powerful tool, it can motivate and demotivate those around us, and if used positively can make our own lives easier.

This motivation we silently pass on is a form of leadership, and if you observe most great leaders you will more than likely be able to see this quality very regularly. Team members tend to show a great deal of respect for their leader – and rightly so, they are all working to the same goals.

Naturally, if a colleague has ambition, he will most likely be keen to support and impress his leader – logically recommendations of promotions will tend towards the more helpful members of a leaders team.

Influence and motivation are not however enough to make a good leader great, the commonly discussed listening and interpretation skills are paramount to a teams success, communication is only truly achieved if both parties understand a message to have the same meaning.

Leadership, simply, is not just about getting the job done. It is about getting the job done effectively, efficiently and most importantly with the support and growing respect of the people you lead. Generally speaking it is not possible to achieve effective and efficient performance without these supporting and respectful team members, so those attributes can be considered the building blocks to your success.

Why not stop from time to time, and consider your role, who you are leading, and whether you have done your best to not only support your leader, but also those influenced around you?

Cash Gifting Eliminates the Need for Bogus MLM Products

If you have ever participated in a MLM (Multi Level Marketing) program, then you know that many of them offer a bogus “miracle” product as an underlying validation factor for the program. In other words, you pay a given monthly fee to receive a product that you don’t want and then you try to promote the product to other people that don’t want it. If you can successfully get others to sign up for the product that they don’t want, then you get a cut of the company’s profits.

The cut that you get is small. The only way to perpetuate the residual income potential is to ensure that those who have signed up underneath of you continue to buy the product on a monthly basis. And of course, they also have to stay motivated to continue to sell the product themselves to others. The majority of the time, the end result is a generalized demoralization for all involved except those at the top.

Have you ever considered cash gifting? It’s very simple to understand. You give the gift of cash to people who are less fortunate than you. Then, you receive cash from people who are more fortunate than you.

Cash gifting is a wonderful and honorable way to generate revenue. There is no company or Board of Directors vacuuming up all the profits for themselves. There is no bogus product to have to buy on a monthly basis or promote to others constantly.
Cash gifting is based on a concept that is as old as the spirit of decent humankind: giving and receiving.
Besides not having a product that nobody wants involved, a cash gifting program has many attractive benefits:

1 When it’s your turn to receive, you get 100% of the cash.

2 There is no company to represent; cash gifting is an individual undertaking.

3 You’re not promoting a bogus product; you’re promoting the easiest thing of all: cash.

4 You become a part of a team that bases their business on charity and giving.

5 Cash gifting is completely legal. In the United States and Canada, individuals are fully permitted to gift their assets to family, friends and anyone else they deem deserving. This helps those who receive to be enabled to begin their own businesses, purchase homes or any other life-enhancing act.

6 Cash gifting is not the same thing as MLM or Pyramid schemes. Both of those types of programs have a hierarchy to contend with. The people of the top make all the money; the people at the bottom lose their money.

7 Cash gifting programs are comprised of private groups of individuals: people sharing with other people willingly.

If you’re tired of being burned from the hot dishonesty of the MLM programs and pyramid schemes, consider the option of cash gifting. It can enhance your life as well as those of many others. Explore the world of cash gifting today!
