Clues to Network Marketing Success

I can tell you with honesty after spending 20 years in this industry that building a network marketing business can be an intimidating task when you are just beginning.

Just follow these six easy tips and I assure you… you will succeed.

1. You need to Know your why”. Simply put …this is your reason for starting your new network marketing business. So, take some time to find out just what “your why” is. Write it down and read it everyday. This will keep you motivated and focused. It’s uniquely different for each of us. For some it’s about having more time with the family. For others it’s about getting out of “the rat race”. And for others it might be the goal to achieve “financial freedom”.

2. Work from the inside out. To achieve network marketing success it’s essential that you devote some time for self development. Read some inspirational and positive books and listen to tapes. Develop a mindset of total belief in yourself and the network marketing industry. And be proud to be a network marketer…. ,it’s a respectable professional industry that can give you wonderful benefits as an entrepreneur.

3. You must “plug into the system”. Most network marketing companies have “leadership teams” and you should be part of the system and follow and use what your upline sponsor and leadership is teaching. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel. If it’s been working before you…then just plug in and ride the wave. Be on all of your company’s training calls, all leadership events, all company sponsored events. Bottom line is you need to be on the “centerline” of your business with your company. Follow in the footsteps of people who are successful in the business. Remember, this is a “duplication” business…surround yourself with successful people and “mirror” what they are doing for success. Yes, success can rub off on you!

4. Some say you should take action. I believe to have success; you need to take MASSIVE ACTION! Commit to daily, weekly and monthly activities to grow your business.

5. Building a network marketing “network” takes time…so be patient. Many people join network marketing with unrealistic expectations. So, give it time and enjoy the process. Remember…you’re learning a “new career” so become the “student” and learn…and most importantly BE COACHABLE and TEACHABLE.

6. Take responsibility for your business.

7. You are responsible for your success. It is not your sponsor’s or anyone else’s responsibility to build your business. Remember by following the footsteps of others who have achieved success you can too.

Most of all, to achieve the success you desire, have a mindset of a successful individual and reach out and find a mentor in the industry that you can relate to and can help lead you down the path to success.

Success can be learned…you don’t have to be born into it…you can develop the skill set that you need to accomplish your “WHY”… and achieve your goals and attain the lifestyle of a successful network marketing leader and have the financial freedom that comes along with the success.

You know, that small little voice inside your head that’s saying “Damn, this guy sounds serious…I have got to find out what he’s all about and what he’s doing …Man, I want to be part of his team…IMMEDIATELY!”

So, just listen to that little voice inside your head…believe me…that voice is trying to guide you in the right direction to get the knowledge and mentoring that you’re seeking.

How To Manage A Goal Setting Activity

A goal setting activity can be one of the most stressful and sometimes futile things you ever do in your life.

Each new year brings new resolutions. People make unrealistic promises to themselves knowing that many of them are sure to be broken. But we do it anyway, because it is a tradition that has been passed down through many generations.

There are several ways to plan for reaching your goals that can greatly increases your chances for success and reduce the amount of stress involved.

First, you must understand that while goals should be written down, they need not be etched in stone. For instance, say that you want to lose 20 pounds in the next two months, and two months later, you have only lost 15 pounds.

Many people would see this as a failure, get depressed, and go back to their unhealthy habits. The results are predictable. They gain back the weight they lost (or more) and end up back at square one.

Achieving a goal is like driving to a different city. You never travel in a straight line. You make turns, take detours, and sometimes get lost (although most men would never admit to this). Do you go back home and start over? Of course not. You just make adjustments from your current location.

Taking the above example once again, losing 15 pounds instead of 20 is not failure! Absolutely not. You simply need to make the necessary adjustments in your goal and continue on. Instead of dwelling on your inability to lose 20 pounds, consider that you now only need to lose five pounds. Since you just lost 15 pounds in two months, losing five more in the next month should be a snap. But if you do not, you simply make the necessary adjusts once again from that point. Each goal gets easier and easier.

You should also make reasonably achievable goals. If you need to lose 100 pounds, do not plan to lose it in the next six months. That is not only unreasonable, it can be dangerous to your health. However, losing 100 pounds in 12 months breaks down to slightly less that two pounds per week. That is certainly within reason.

If your goal is to earn a million dollars in the next year, that is admirable. But have you thought about how you are going to do that? If you are starting from scratch, that may not be a reasonable goal. Perhaps you should start by building a foundation first and shooting for your first million dollars next year.

All goal setting activities point you in the direction you want to go…but it does take constant finessing of your aim to hit the target.

What is the Timing on Peak Oil Production?

Amongst the many concerns that surround oil production one of the biggest is when the world will reach the point of peak oil production. Some researchers feel that this may be within the next year or two. But a recent paper written in Sweden says that it will more likely not be before 2018. What this means it that the oil production will continue to go along the way it has, though in some places it will increase, until it hits its peak and begins to slowly decline. Obviously it is the declining supply that people are worried about.

One researcher in Sweden felt that a solid example of the things that helped to foretell the future of the oil fields is the few giant fields among them. These huge fields account for a tiny number of fields, only one percent, but together they produce sixty percent of the world’s oil. He studied how the supplies are from those giant fields most of which have been giving oil for over fifty years. He further used other information to work out the peak oil production timing. First he added to his computations any recent discoveries that have been made of new oil sources plus offshore oil production, oil sands and heavy oil finds. He believes that these figures substantiate a slightly longer time period until the oil supplies hit the peak and begin their slow decline.

There are others who believe his facts may be right, but not based on the giant fields he talks about. These are researchers and scientists who still see oil reserves that are not being tapped and feel that the peak oil production date is still several years away. They claim that between the oil available in the Gulf of Mexico, the South China Sea and West Africa there is at least another four hundred and fifty billion barrels to be found on top of current reserves. In addition, there is still speculation of the possibility of more fields that may be discovered near each of the poles, as well as in Oceania and other segments of the world where oil mining and production have never been considered. Those who are concerned about the amounts of oil we use take the more cautious approach warning that next year may very well see the oil supplies peak and that we should be looking to other sources of energy before we run out.
